The Temple Libraries are here to offer a place where members can post their narratives, poetry, and any other form of literature written by themselves. Below is a list of rules and guidelines:

General Rules:

• The Laws of Temple City still apply fully. So do real life laws.
• All works MUST have a rating (12+/15+/mature) in the topic title. If warnings are needed - e.g. for violence or sexual scenes, for drug use or abuse, for sensitive topics - put them into the title or topic description, or clearly visible at the top of the first post in the thread.
• Reviews are a great thing and thus very much encouraged. When reviewing, do not exceed the rating of the story! Do not violate any board rules! Be respectful to the author!
• All forms of written works are allowed here - no restrictions in ways of format. Fanfiction is allowed as well.
• Your works belong in your own subforum - nowhere else.
• Do not threaten people to read and/or review your works.
• No plagiarising in any form.

The procedure of getting your own subforum for your work:

Now, you'll need your own shelf in the library - just for your works. To get it, you must first PM Lyta with the title your forum is going to have, and a short description. Both must be 12+.

When you've done that, I'll set up the forum for you and appoint you as a Moderator for your bookshelf. You won't have moderating powers anywhere else, and there will of course be restrictions to your power - but you can play around with your own topics a bit, re-combine posts and pin topics of your choice, etc.

After that you can start posting your works. Stick to the rules listed above. Anything else is up to you - meaning you can:

• Post one story into one topic, using new posts for each chapter.
• Post a new topic for each chapter to avoid confusingly long threads.
• Pin threads - perhaps a little bit about you, a thread for questions from others, a featured story of your choice...
• Close threads if you don't want feedback on a particular bit of work.

Works in languages other than English will only be accepted if we have a staffer fluent in that language and willing to keep an eye on you. Right now that means that the only accepted foreign language is German. If you post in a foreign language, it would be kind to note that in your topic title so that no one's disappointed when they can't read it.

We will not review stories before they go public, but we will most certainly keep a close watch on our authors. Remember, having your own forum here is a privilege that can be taken away at any sign of rule breaking. We do hope though that this won't be necessary.

Please note that your forum will be visible to all members (but not to guests). We cannot guaranty that no one steals your ideas - that is, if you have a piece you want to get published, you shouldn't post it here. We will of course not allow plagiarism but sadly, we have no sufficient means to control that, unless someone is stupid enough to re-post your works right under our noses.
